“This year, the Dante Alighieri, on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the founding of San Vito, celebrated it through a lecture by Mr. Juan Carlos Laurent Sanabria entitled: ‘The Origin of the Location of the Territory of San Vito.’ It was an extremely interesting talk, in which the origins of San Vito were explained through various research sources that Mr. Laurent has developed over the years. It was an enriching event and also an important meeting point that brought together the Italo-Costa Rican community. The presence of the pioneers Antonio Convertino and Liliano Consumi stood out, both among the last pioneers of the colonization of San Vito. We were also honored by the presence of the President of COMITES, Mr. Giuseppe Cacace. For the Dante Alighieri, it is very satisfying to organize these events, which allow us to keep the flame of culture and Italian identity alive in San Vito.”
