BOVIERI ORI NICOLA

Bovieri Ori Nicola. He was born in 1926 in Priverno, Province of Latina. Son of Antonio Bovieri and Eleonora Ori. He arrived in Costa Rica in September 1952, and in San Vito in January 1953. He arrived single and after three years he married Nicolina (Lina) Felice Bottoni, also from Priverno, Latina, born in 1929, by proxy. San Vito in 1955. His two children María Assunta and Antonio Fausto were born in San Vito. His first job was a merchandise carrier between Agua Buena, where there was a small airport, and the nascent Colonia de San Vito. Later he was a surveyor's assistant in laying out roads, a coffee farmer, and a rancher. And together with other Italian settlers from San Vito (Alcide Fiorito, Armando Gualandri), they began the largest agricultural project in the region, which was to begin planting pineapple commercially, in the neighboring canton of Buenos Aires. For various reasons, they had to sell to the DEL MONTE Company. Today the company that develops the project is known as PINDECO, the largest contributor to the development of the region, providing work for thousands of families. His descendants maintain most of the properties in San Vito. Nicola and Nicolina left for Italy in 1983 and their remains rest in Priverno

Nicola Bovieri Ori arrived in 1952 with his brother-in-law Mario Pepa Garofoli.
