He was born in 1926 in Palagianello, Province of Taranto. Son of Francesco Casalino and Isabella Marchione. He arrived in San Vito in 1953, single and accompanying his mother Isabella Marchione and his siblings, Pascuale, Genoveffa (Lina), Maria Stella, Stella and Raffaele with his wife Anna Putignano and their children Francesco and Isabella. He was an employee of the SICA and a farmer. He returned to Italy in 1962.
