Consumi Magni Ivo

Consumi Magni Ivo. He was born in 1929 in Montemignaio, Province of Arrezo. Son of Livio Consumi and Italia Magni. He arrived in Costa Rica in 1952 to work at CICAIL (Italo-Costa Rican Agricultural and Industry Company), in Moravia de Chirripó. On May 12, 1952, he arrived in the Italian Colony to join the SICA. In 1955 with Armanda Papili Lorenzini and they had Furio, Melania, Mariano and Susana (Tamara). In the first four and a half years he was in charge of receiving merchandise from SICA, in Corredores, then transporting it in a truck to Campos Tres. Later he was a cabinetmaker, he developed the activity of a butcher along with his family, a coffee farmer and a cattle rancher. He is the only one alive of the first pioneers who arrived in San Vito at the beginning of 1952. Even 3 years ago, at 90 years old, it was common to see him driving his car to go to work on his farm, or even to find him wearing rubber boots, buying Yellow bread. He continues to develop his livestock activities, despite his advanced age.
