By Carlo Crescenza Pietro. He was born in 1923, in Mottola, Province of Taranto. Son of Donato de Carlo and Carmela De Crescenza. He arrived in Costa Rica in 1952 and in San Vito in January 1953. He came with his wife Maria Michela De Santis Greco, born in 1923, in Mottola, Province of Taranto, and their children: Carmela and Donato, both born in Mottola. Franco was born in San Vito (he was the second child to be born in the Colonia de San Vito on August 9, 1953) and then Mario. In San Vito he worked in the sawmill and was a coffee farmer. He left in 1968 for Australia with his family.
