GERVASONI CORPACCI ATTILIO

Gervasoni Corpacci Attilio. He was born in 1922 in Fara Sabina, Province of Riete. Son of Giampiero and Chiara. Agronomist by profession. In January 1952 he arrived in Costa Rica to work for the company CICAIL (Italo Costa Rican Agricultural and Industry Company), in Moravia de Chirripó. From there he became part of the first Italian group that arrived in San Vito. On July 16, 1952, together with 8 compatriots, they began operations in the Colonia de San Vito. The complete group of the 9 pioneers are: (BRACONI Giovanni, CANALINI Vittorio, GERVASONI Attilio, LUPPI Guido, PAPILI Marino, SANSONETTI Giulio, SANTILLI Giovanni, SCIARPELLETTI Riccardo, SORESINA Francesco). Father MAGGIONE Virgilio accompanied them. In September 1952, his wife Vera Brugiotti and his children Oretta, Luigi and Piero arrived in San Vito. Being one of the first three families to live in the nascent Colony. They occupied one of the first three houses built. He was the first person in charge of the deforestation and wood harvesting work, he coordinated the transfer and installation of the first sawmill. He directed agricultural operations and was superintendent of the SICA in San Vito. Later he was a coffee farmer, he installed the first bottled soft drink factory
