MAZZERO COLLOT ELIO

He was born on March 17, 1923 in Pieve di Soligo, Province of Treviso. Son of Ernesto Mazzero and Giuseppina Collot. He arrived in Costa Rica in 1952, to work for the company CICAIL (Italo Costa Rican Agricultural and Industry Company), in Moravia de Chirripó. That same year he went to work in the Colonia de San Vito. He had married in Bigolino Teresa De Broi Prosdocimo, born on December 11, 1922 in Valdobbiadene, Province of Treviso. Daughter of Luigi and Angela, she arrived in 1954, accompanied by her children Gino and Elsa. Their third son Aldo Pier Luigi was born in San Vito. All of their children were married in San Vito and continue to live there. When she was widowed, Mrs. Teresa continued to run the family businesses. Then she worked teaching cooking to girls and adolescents, she was administrator of the Aprena Hospital, which is the precursor of the Juana Pirola Hospital. Elio died in an accident in San Vito in 1959 and together with Teresa they rest in the San Vito cemetery.
