Poma Murialdo Alessandro

Poma Murialdo Alessandro. He was born in 1932 in Rome, Province of Rome, son of Anselmo and Costanza. Agronomist Engineer. He arrived in Costa Rica in January 1958, together with his wife Gloria Sommaruga, born in Rome, Province of Rome in 1934. Shortly after, he traveled to San Vito by air. In the Colony of San Vito created by SICA, a society that his father together with Admiral Luigi Sansonetti and prof. Ermanno Graziani had founded. He came with the intention of forming a livestock farm, on a property that his father had bought. He brought Zebu cattle to the Monte Gloria farm by air. Years later the farm was sold to ITCO (Institute of Land and Colonies). He bought a farm in Agua Claras from Francesco Altamura Ceciliano. With his friends Luigi Laurencich, Luigi Minelli and Umberto Zavagli Ricciardelli, he built the coffee mill called CAIS in San Vito. The Poma Sommaruga Family has four children: Pietro, Stefano, Alessandra and Claudio. Currently the family maintains coffee farms and their benefits.
