We are at the beginning of the 50s, and while Italy was facing the difficult years after the end of the war, many families decided to leave for the new world, to have the opportunity to start a new life. The Ruzza family is not new to moving, in fact they were originally from northern Italy, Treviso and surrounding areas, but they had long settled in Lazio, Latina. From the Pontine plains, many families left for Central America and also South America, in lands deprived of the intervention of man, thus the adventure began on the other side of the ocean. A long trip by ship, about a month, took the Ruzza family, Francesco e Casarin Amabile, with their children, to the port of Golfito in March 1952, an infinite number of stops had already distributed many family units throughout the city. coast, so after greeting their fellow travelers, one at a time, they finally disembarked. ...................................
