SANSONETTI CLARINI VITO

Sansonetti Clarini Vito was born on March 11, 1916 in Rome, Province of Rome. Son of Luigi Sansonetti and Adele Clarini. Navy officer. He taught at the Livorno Naval Academy, before coming to Costa Rica. He married Olivia Tinoco Castro in Rome on July 6, 1946. He came on vacation to Costa Rica in December 1949. Upon visiting the country, he had the idea of ​​creating an Italo-Costa Rican Colony, where European farmers could find a serene life far from the destruction of the war. He arrived in what would become the Colony in December 1951. For the decision to establish the Colony in the Jaba River area, he was advised by Italian professionals or of Italian descent: Eng. Gaston Bartorelli, Professor Cesar Dondoli, Dr. Lino Vicarioli and Otello Benedetti. His wife Olivia Tinoco Castro always accompanied him on his trips to San Vito. The children of the Sansonetti Tinoco Family are: Maria Cristina, Maria Adele, Luigi and Cecilia. In honor of his brother Carlo Sansonetti Clarini, who died as a Bersaglieri in the Second World War, he ordered that the first blow of the ax be given on his birthday. Thus the Colonia de San Vito was born on February 28, 1952. In 1984 he founded the Italo-Costa Rican Cultural Center "Dante Alighieri de San Vito del Río Java". The remains of Vito and Olivia rest in the San Vito cemetery
