Born in 1922 in Mottola, Province of Taranto. Son of Pietro Altamura and Giovanna Antonacci. He arrived in San Vito in January 1953. He was accompanied by his wife Cosima Chiarelli Putignano, born in 1927 in Mottola, Province of Taranto. Their sons Pietro and Angelo, born in Mottola, also came with them. While in San Vito were born Domenico and another one. Saverio and his family returned to Italy.
